===== I formatted or changed my computer, how do I transfer Plagius? ===== 

The procedure varies depending on whether you formatted or changed your computer. Here are the instructions for each case:

=== Computer Change ===

  * **Uninstallation on the Old Computer**: If possible, uninstall Plagius from the old computer. This will prevent your activation key from being blocked.
  
  * **Installation on the New Computer**: On the new computer, download the latest version of Plagius and install it as a new installation.
  
  * **License Activation**: After installation, use the same activation key to activate Plagius. Remember that you can now only change computers **once**. If you exceed this limit, a fee will be charged for unlocking.

:!: Make sure not to use the same Plagius license on two computers at the same time or alternate between them. This will result in the license being blocked.

=== Computer Formatting ===

  * **Installation After Formatting**: After formatting the computer, download the [[https://www.plagius.com/en/download|latest version of Plagius]] and install it again.
  
  * **License Activation**: Use the same activation key. Plagius will automatically detect that it is the same computer (by hardware) when entering the key, and this will not consume the available computer change.
